Alocasia Zebrina are a firm favourite for many because of their large statement leaves and unusual striped stems. They prefer bright but indirect light - their stems will become soft in low light levels as they lean towards a light source and their foliage will scorch in direct light. They enjoy a warm but relatively humid spot and their leaves wiping down regularly with a damp cloth. Water sparingly, only once the soil has almost dried out. A fairly free draining compost and a pot with drainage holes is necessary.
