Areca are an easy to care for palm with a beautiful mass of leafy foliage that makes an instant statement in any home. They prefer bright but indirect light, but are fairly shade tolerant too. Water once half the pot of soil has dried out. They enjoy a little humidity so make sure to mist regularly when using known air dryers such as central heating or air conditioning.
